Management and Science University (MSU) has partnered with the Japan Halal Foundation (JHF) to provide halal certification for Japanese companies. This collaboration is part of MSU's efforts to achieve sustainable organizational practices and tap into the growing halal market in Japan.

MSU has a Centre of Excellence for Halal Studies (ICHLAS), which is one of the 25 key research areas at the university. ICHLAS conducts research on halal issues and develops halal-compliant products and services.

The MSU-JHF collaboration uses blockchain technology to track the halal status of products and services. This technology ensures that the products and services are certified halal and that they meet the requirements of Islamic law.

So far, the MSU-JHF collaboration has certified six Japanese companies as halal compliant. These companies are:

  • PANGA Yakinikku Restaurant

  • Silica Techx Ube Co. Ltd

  • EITO Inc.

  • Water World Co. Ltd

  • Seiniku-no Okuda (Pvt) Ltd

  • ITOFU Co. Ltd

The collaboration is expected to help Japanese companies expand their market reach and to meet the growing demand for halal products and services in Japan.

Here are some of the benefits of the MSU-JHF collaboration:

  • It provides a reliable and transparent way to verify the halal status of products and services.

  • It helps Japanese companies to comply with Islamic law and to meet the requirements of their Muslim customers.

  • It opens up new markets for Japanese companies in the halal industry.

  • It helps to promote the halal industry in Japan and to raise awareness of halal products and services.

The MSU-JHF collaboration is a significant step forward in the development of the halal industry in Japan. It is a win-win collaboration that benefits both MSU and Japanese companies.
